Oriental Chicken Pasta Salad Recipe

Perfect salad for a hot summer evening with a light asian flavor.

  • 16 ounces bow tie pasta
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup rice vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, cubed
  • 1/3 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1/3 cup green onions, chopped
Cook pasta according to package directions. Rinse under cold water and place in large bowl. In a small skillet, toast sesame seeds over medium-high heat until golden brown. Whisk together oils, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, ginger and pepper for dressing. Pour dressing over pasta. Add chicken cilantro and green onions. Top with toasted sesame seeds.
