1/2 cup 2% milk
2 tablespoons dried minced onion
4 tablespoons chili powder - divided
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cups crushed Ritz crackers (about 1 sleeve)
2 pounds ground beef
1 pound bulk pork sausage
2 cups shredded process cheese (Velveeta)
1 can condensed tomato soup (26 oz.)
2 1/2 cups water
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
:15 x 10 x 1 baking sheet
Preheat to 400 degrees.
In large bowl, whisk egg, milk, minced onion, 2 tbsp. chili powder, salt, and pepper; stir in crackers. Add beef, sausage, and cheese; mix lightly but thoroughly.
Shape mixture in 1 inch balls and place on greased 15x10x1 inch pan. Bake 15-18 minutes or until browned.
Meanwhile combine the remaining 2 tbsp. of chili powder and the rest of ingredients together.
Place the meatballs in a slow cooker and pour the sauce over them. Cover and cook on low 4-5 hours or until meatballs are cooked through.
Can be served as sandwiches, on their own as part of a meal, or as an appetizer at your next gathering.
