Quick & Easy Salisbury Steak Recipe

  • 1 pound ground meat
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • cooking spray
  • 1 package pre sliced mushrooms (8 ounce pkg)
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh or 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons dry white wine or sherry
  • 12 ounces Kosher beef gravy
Combine first 4 ingredients; stir well. Shape mixture into 4 patties. Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; place over medium heat until hot. Add patties; cook 4 minutes on each side or until done/ Remove patties from skillet, and set aside. Increase heat to medium-high. Add mushrooms, onion, and thyme to skillet; sauté 3 minutes. Add wine and sauté 1 minute. Stir in gravy. Return patties to skillet. Cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
