Whipped Cream Butter Cream Icing Recipe

  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons Karo - white corn syrup
Combine all ingredients except Karo in mixer bowl and blend at low speed. Then turn mixer to medium and slowly pour in 2 tablespoons white corn syrup that has been heated to the boiling point. If the icing seems too soft, reduce the water content.
