Spicy Sausage Soup Recipe

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic - chopped
  • 4 Premio hot Italian sausage links, casings removed
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 ounce-can)
  • 1 can tomato soup (19 ounce-can)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 package frozen spinach - squeezed dry
  • 6 drops hot sauce (add more if you wish)
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Heat olive oil in a medium Dutch oven.
  • Add garlic and saute 30 seconds.
  • Add sausage and brown, breaking up meat with a spatula or wooden spoon.
  • Add canned tomatoes, including juice, and cook 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Pour in soup, broth, and spinach and stir.
  • Add hot sauce and seasonings and simmer for 1 hour to meld flavors before serving.
