1 can diced tomatoes (large can)
1/2 can water
1 can black beans - drained and rinsed
1 can spicy chili beans
1 package Premio Hot Italian Sausage - casings removed
1 pound ground beef
1 large onion
1 medium green pepper
3 stalks celery
1 can petite diced tomatoes with chilies
Season with chili seasoning, cumin, salt, and pepper to taste
Place tomatoes, one half can of water, and beans in a slow cooker and turn on high heat.
Remove Premio Hot Italian Sausage from casing. Cook in skillet with ground beef until brown. Place into slow cooker. (Make sure the slow cooker has warmed.)
Dice onion, pepper, and celery to desired size. Saute over medium heat until lightly cooked. Add to slow cooker.
Reduce heat on slow cooker to low; then add chili seasoning, cumin, salt, and pepper. (If you don't have seasonings on hand, a wonderful premixed seasoning packet is available at your grocer.)
Cook on low for 4 hours to allow flavors to blend.
Serve with crackers, shredded cheese, and sour cream.
