1/2 pound Sweet Premio Italian sausage - sliced paper thin
1/2 pound hot Premio Italian sausage - sliced thin
2 pounds ground beef - raw
1/2 cup onion - chopped
1/2 cup green pepper - chopped
1 egg - extra large, beaten
1/2 cup tomato juice
1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon dried or fresh parsley
1 small red pepper - sliced thin
1 small yellow pepper - sliced thin
1 small green pepper - sliced thin
1 small onion - sliced thin
1 cup cheddar cheese - shredded
1 cup mozzarella cheese - shredded
Cook sausage in large fry pan, cook until golden brown; set aside.
In a large bowel, mix ground beef, onion, green pepper, egg, tomato juice, brown sugar and parsley; mix well. Divide it in half.
Place half in a square baking dish.
Pour cooked sausage over meatloaf, and then put sliced green, red yellow pepper on top of sausage.
Then with cheeses.
Place the other half of meatloaf over cheese. Seal.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 1 hour or until done.
Serve warm with Italian bread.
