Butterscotch Topping for Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup white corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 dash salt

  • In a saucepan on the stovetop, boil the first 4 ingredients to the soft ball stage.
  • Cool 10 - 15 minutes; then stir in the evaporated milk, vanilla, and salt. Refrigerate when the sauce has fully cooled.
