Kringla's Recipe

  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour milk
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 7 cups flour

  • In a large bowl, mix the sour cream and baking soda.
  • Add the sugar, eggs, and sour milk and mix well.
  • Combine the baking powder and flour, and then gradually add it to the mixture to form a soft dough.
  • Make small figure eights with dough; then place 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet.
  • Bake 8-10 minutes at 350ºF.
  • Cool on wire racks.

    Note: The cookies shouldn't be brown on the top when they are done.
