Streusel Coffee Cake Recipe

1 package yellow cake mix
1 package instant vanilla pudding
1 package instant butterscotch pudding
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup apple sauce (or vegetable oil if apple sauce is not available)
1 cup water
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
:9x13 inch baking pan
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a medium bowl, stir together the yellow cake mix, butterscotch pudding mix, and the vanilla pudding mix. Add the eggs, oil, apple sauce, and water. Mix until well blended.
In a separate bowl, stir together brown sugar and cinnamon. If desired, add chopped nuts to this brown sugar mixture.
Pour half of the batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
Sprinkle half of the brown sugar mixture over the batter.
Cover with remaining batter and spread evenly.
Sprinkle with remaining brown sugar mixture (adjust to desired amount of topping).
Bake for 20 minutes in preheated 350ÂºF. oven.
Turn oven down to 325°F and bake for an additional 35 minutes. Test for doneness by inserting toothpick into center of cake. When the cake is done, the toothpick will be clean when removed.
