1 can tomato soup
3/4 cup honey
2 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons prepared mustard
2 teaspoons hot red pepper sauce (optional)
2 pounds chicken breasts, skinless, boneless
Combine all of the ingredients, except for the chicken breasts, in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Reduce the heat to low and allow to simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
Place the chicken breasts on the grill, pre-heated to medium heat. Baste the chicken with the sauce. Turn the chicken once and baste the other side with barbecue sauce. Cook thoroughly (until juices run clear).
The sauce is also good on ribs and beef.
