1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup butter, chilled and cut into small pieces
1/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 cup ham, minced
1 teaspoon spicy brown mustard
2 tablespoons onion, minced
1/3 cup buttermilk
:cookie sheet, prepared with oil or no-stick cooking spray
Preheat oven to 450º.
In a medium sized bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and baking soda.
Add butter and cut in with pastry blender until mixture looks like coarse meal.
Blend in cheese, ham, mustard, and onions.
Add buttermilk, stirring until dough is soft.
Knead lightly on floured board. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with a 2" cutter and place on prepared baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes or until golden in color.
