Sausage Pin Wheels Recipe

Easy to make pin wheels made with refrigerated crescent rolls. The rich flavor of the crescent rolls combines with the savory flavor of the sausage for one great taste.

  • 1 can crecent rolls
  • 1 roll ground sausage (mild)
  • 1 package cream cheese softened

  • Brown and drain sausage.
  • Roll crescent roll out flat. Spread cream cheese over crescent roll.
  • Add sausage and roll up like a jelly roll. Place in refrigerator overnight.
  • Cut in 3/4 inch slices. They will look like pinwheels.
  • Bake at 350 degrees 15-20 minutes until brown.

"These sausage pin wheels tasted great but they didn't look too great. They were hard to roll up because the dough was so soft. The crescent rolls wanted to stick to the pan with I tried to roll them up. Maybe greasing the pan first would help. Next time I might try cutting the rolled out dough into two sections so I am not trying to roll up such a long flimsy piece. Taste was good, just have to get the rolling technique down better."
