Spicy Lemon Shrimp Recipe

Great appetizer that is quick and impressive. The pepper flakes give the shrimp a little heat without over doing it.

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled, deveined
  • 1 tablespoon lemon peel
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Preheat oven to broil. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In medium bowl, combine lemon peel, lemon juice, red pepper, salt, garlic and oil until well mixed. Add shrimp and toss to coat.

Spread shrimp onto prepared pan. Broil, 2 to 3 inches from heat, for 3-5 minutes or until shrimp are pink and firm.

Serve with cocktail sauce. These can be served warm or cold.
