Five Vegetable Salad Recipe

  • 1 1/2 cups celery, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 can green beans, drained
  • 1 can peas, drained
  • 4 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cucumbers, chopped (optional)
  • Dressing
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup salad oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons French dressing
Sprinkle salt on celery, pepper, and onion and let stand 4 hours. Drain well and rinse with clear water. Add the beans, peas, tomatoes and cucumbers.

Mix together the dressing ingredients and pour over salad. Chill overnight.
