Grandma's Homemade Crackers Recipe

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Crisco shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups cold water
Cut shortening into the flour. Add water to flour mixture and stir well. Knead on floured surface and then using a rolling pin, roll out until thin. Sprinkle with salt and cut into small strips whatever shape you like. Place on cookie sheet and cook at 450 until lightly brown. Serve with potato soup or Brunswick stew.
