Three Ingredient Beef Tenderloin Recipe

Who would think that it would be as simple as 3-ingredients to make this filet mignon melt in your mouth. Any cook can make this and it will impress all your guests.

  • 1 onion (optional)
  • 6 pounds beef tenderloin roast
  • 1 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 pound mushrooms, halved (optional)

Allow tenderloin to sit at room temperature for 2 hours before baking.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Place onions in a roasting pan, if desired. Place tenderloin in pan. Pour soy sauce and melted butter over the tenderloin.

Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, then turn the roast over and continue cooking for 60 minutes for medium rare, basting every 20 minutes.

If desired, put mushrooms around pan 20 minutes before baking time is done.

Let meat rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
