Strawberry Layered Dessert Recipe

The different layers of this dessert all add to its delicious flavor. A yummy crust, a layer of pudding and two layers of strawberries . . . what more could you ask for?

Ingredients
  • 70 Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 1 stick margarine, melted
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 2 packages instant vanilla pudding (3 oz. pkgs.)
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 package Cool Whip (12 oz.)
  • Fresh strawberries
  • STRAWBERRY GLAZE:
  • 1 box frozen strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
Container:9 x 13 glass baking dish

  • Melt margarine and mix with crushed Ritz crackers. Reserve 1/4 C. crumbs for the top. Press crumbs into 9x13 pan.
  • Mix ice cream, pudding mix and milk. Beat 3 minutes until smooth. Pour over crust; chill.
  • Mix glaze ingredients and cook until thickened; cool.
  • Spread cooled glaze over chilled pudding layer; chill.
  • Spread with Cool Whip. Top with whole or sliced fresh strawberries. Sprinkle buttered crumbs over the top.
  • Chill well before serving. Enjoy!
