Crock Pot Brown Betty Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 cups your favorite cooking apples, peeled, cored and cut into eighths
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 stick butter or margarine, melted (1/2 cup stick)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
Directions
Lightly grease small crock pot; place apples on bottom. Combine bread crumbs, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, brown sugar, butter and walnuts, and spread over apples. Cover; cook on LOW 3 to 4 hours or on HIGH 2 hours. For larger crock pot double all ingredients.
