Patty Melt with Mushroom Sauce Recipe

This sandwich will melt in your mouth. The mushroom sauce adds just the right touch to the beef along with the melted cheese.

1 pound ground beef
1 tablespoon grill seasoning
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
1 tablespoon flour
salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup beef broth
4 slices provolone cheese
8 slices sour dough bread
Heat oven to 400 degrees to toast the bread.
Shape beef into 4 thin patties.
Coat a large skillet with cooking spray. Over medium-high heat, add patties and cook 4 minutes on each side or until done.
In another skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add onion. Cook until translucent. Add garlic and mushrooms; sautÃ© 3 minutes.
Add flour into mushroom mixture. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Stir in beef broth and cook until thick. Remove from heat.
Place bread slices on a baking sheet, spraying tops lightly with cooking spray. Bake for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown. Keep a close eye on so they don't burn.
When patties are almost done, top with cheese. Cook for 1 minute to melt cheese.
Place patties on a bread slice. Top with mushroom mixture and remaining bread slices.
