Taco Casserole with Ground Beef Recipe

Save the mess of tacos and create this casserole instead. Your kids are sure to love it. The crescent rolls make a crust on the bottom that is flaky and golden brown.

1 can crescent rolls
1 pound ground beef
1 package taco seasoning mix
8 ounces sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
: 9 x 13 baking pan
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray.
Unroll crescent rolls on bottom of pan.
Crumble 2-3 handfuls of chips to cover.
Cook ground beef (can add chopped onions) and taco seasoning as usual. Turn off heat.
Mix in sour cream (this will look bad, but will taste yummy!). Pour mixture over chips.
Sprinkle with 1 cup of cheese.
Crumble 2-3 more handfuls of chips to cover and add remaining cheese to top.
Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes.
Cut into squares for serving.
Can add picante sauce or taco sauce on top as well.

(11 oz.) corn
(28 oz.) frozen tator tots
lean ground beef

Chow mein noodles for garnish
condensed cream of chicken soup
condensed cream of mushroom soup
