Rum Sauce Recipe

An excellent sauce to sweeten up desserts that may be somewhat tart in taste, such as cranberry cake or desserts made with mollasses.

Ingredients
  • SAUCE:
  • 1/2 teaspoon rum flavoring
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cream (may use milk)

  • SAUCE: In a sauce pan, melt butter, add cream and sugar, stir until blended. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat and add rum flavoring. Serve sauce warm.
