Biscuit Mix Substitute Recipe

A recipe used as a substitute for biscuit mix (Bisquick) in a recipe. This recipe is equivalent to 1 cup of biscuit Mix.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon shortening, olive oil, or melted butter

  • Combine dry ingredients; whisk ingredients together.
  • Add the shortening (or olive oil or melted butter); cut into dry ingredients until well mixed.
Note: This recipe can be doubled or tripled if desired and the extra can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 months.
