Lime Pickles 14 Recipe

  • 2 gallons pickles
  • 8 cups sugar
  • 4 tablespoons salt
  • 2 Qrts, Vinegar
  • 1/4 box pickling spice
  • 1 tablespoon Green food coloring
  • 2 cups lime
Slice pickles in large pan, add 2 cups lime and cold water and leave overnight. Drain and let stand in ice water 3 hours.

Mix all other ingredients, simmer 5 minutes. Put pickles in jars, add mixture and simmer 1/2 hour. Seal.
