Seasoned Oven Roasted Potatoes Recipe

  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 1 cup olive or vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon basil or herb mixture
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 pounds new potatoes, quartered
Preheat oven to 450°. In plastic bag or shallow roasting dish, combine and mix all ingredients except butter, oil and potatoes. Roll potatoes in oil and butter mixture, then coat thoroughly in bag or pan. Bake, stirring occasionally, 45 to 60 minutes or until potatoes are tender and golden brown. Garnish if desired with chopped parsley. Makes 6 to 8 servings. Favorite herbs can be substituted.
