Spicy Homemade Chili Recipe

  • 2 quarts tomato juice
  • 2 cans chili beans (10 3/4 ounce cans)
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1 tablespoon A-1 sauce
  • 3/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 pounds ground beef
  • 3 onions, diced
Combine all ingredients except ground beef and onions. Slowly simmer.

Brown ground beef and onions together; drain well.

Add to other ingredients. Slowly simmer for 30-45 minutes.

Makes 5-6 quarts.
