Napa Salad Recipe

  • 1 head Napa Cabbage* - thinly slice, set aside
  • 1 bunch green onions - thinly slice, set aside
  • 4 ounces slivered almonds
  • 2 packages ramen noodle soup - break noodles into small piece, do not use spice pack
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 stick margarine
Melt margarine and brown the almonds, noodles and sesame seeds in margarine. Set aside.


1 T. soy sauce

1/2 C. vegetable oil

1/4 C. rice vinegar (substitute white vinegar)

2/3-1 C. sugar (depending on desired sweetness)

Boil soy sauce, vegetable oil, vinegar and sugar until sugar is dissolved and set aside.

About 20 minutes before serving, mix ingredients and enjoy!!Ingredients can be prepared several days in advance as long as dressing is kept separate. Slice the Napa and onions and store in refrigerator in sealed plastic bags. After browning the almonds, ramen noodles and sesame seeds, store in a jar or sealed plastic bag. Prepare dressing and store in bottle.
