Tuna Swirls Recipe

  • 1 1/3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 can flaked tuna (7 ounce can)
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 can milk
Preheat oven to 450°. Sift dry ingredients together into a bowl. Pour oil and 1/2 C. of milk into measuring cup, but don't stir. Pour this mixture all at once into the flour mixture. Stir with a fork until the mixture cleans the sides of the bowl. Roll dough between sheets of waxed paper to 1/4" thickness.

Mix tuna and the remaining ingredients except for the soup and milk. Spread the tuna mixture on the dough.

Roll up, beginning at the wide side. Seal by pinching the end of the dough into a roll. Place sealed edge under on baking sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until lightly browned.

Meanwhile, heat the soup and 1/2 can milk in a saucepan. Slice the roll and serve with the mushroom gravy.
